Compliance with the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive

PT&R is committed to compliance with all laws and regulations, including the European Union (Directive 2002/95/EC) Restriction of Hazardous Substance (RoHS) Directive that will restrict the use of lead (pb), mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium and two bromine-containing flame retardants: PBB (polybrominated biphenyls) and PBDE (polybrominated diphenyl ethers) in electrical and electronic products. PT&R is compliant with the RoHS Directive as of July 1, 2005.

RoHS substances will be eliminated (to levels below legal limits), except where it is widely recognized that there is no technically feasible alternative (as indicated by exemption under the EU RoHS Directive).

PT&R is compliant with Environmentally Conscious Green Requirements and in processing our customers' parts and products, have banned the use of the following substances: Asbestos and asbestos material, Azo-based colorants, Bis (tributyltin) Oxide, Halogenated aromatic substances (in capacitors), Halogenated naphthalenes, Hydrofluorocarbons, Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), Polychlorinated phenols & derivatives, polychlorinated terphenyls, Ozone depleting chemicals, Chloroparaffins (in plastic).
